Default color catchers

I live in Canada. I would like to buy color catchers. We cannot get them here in this area. I was looking
on Amazon and found these. Are these always so expensive?
I know the Canadian cost would be more but this price seems way high to me.
Thanks.

As an aside, I have ordered books from Amazon (quilting books) and noticed , in a few instances, old are listed at a higher price than new. Why is that?

No, color catchers are not that expensive -- I wonder if that is the price per case, not per box.

That does seem high. In FL I pay less than $4 for a box of 24. If they come out clean, I reuse them a couple of times.

The link says it's for 12 boxes with free shipping but that's still about $7.50 a box.

Not sure where you live but "Dr Beckmann Colour & Dirt Collector" colour catchers are available at Sobeys, Foodland, Walmart, ... Near me. And you can also DIY ... search online. Uses borax and cotton fabric

SuzzyQ; could you please describe how you use the borax and cotton fabric as a colour catcher ? Do you make up 'sheets' of it pre wash ? and if so, do they dry so they're ready to hand if needed in a hurry ?

My word! That's crazy expensive! In the UK I have bought them at the supermarket, have you checked your local supermarket? I wasn't expecting to find them as the shop in my village is pretty small, but they had a selection of them! I was amazed!

That looks like it is 24 boxes, I pay about $5 U.S. for mine and I'm pretty sure there more than 12 to a box.

I will check for that product.
Like Macra, I also would like to know how you use it?
