Default Pam's Irish Mist

Pam brought me this gorgeous 80 x 90 Irish Mist quilt to be machine quilted. We chose Hobbs 80/20 batting, a yellow/green thread and white thread. It's another one that I fell in love with and hated to see go home. Not knowing immediately how I wanted to quilt it, I looked at several pics on the internet, but they all seem to be quilted with feathers, while very pretty, I wanted to do something other than feathers on this one. I started with a piano key border treating the two outside borders as one, SID the narrow border, stitched Terry Twists on the corner blocks, a leafy vine in the sashing that makes the star, loops and swirls within the mid and small stars, then filled in with a LOT of pebbles! I do hope Pam likes what she sees when she picks it up.

That quilt is so beautiful! I absolutely love all the greens and the greenish-white backing. It would go so well with my house - anywhere in my house! The quilting is fantastic as well, such a lot of work and so nicely done. Thanks for sharing!
