Default Swirly Christmas Tree Wallhanging

Our Winter Texans quilt group does a Challenge Project each winter. This year,we were given 6 pieces of Christmas fabric ranging in size from 1/2 yd to a 4 1/2"X 5 1/2" piece. We had to use at least 4 pieces plus we could add 2 other fabrics. I saw this on Craftsy, and thought it would work for my project. I was able to use 5 of my Christmas pieces. I added white for the background and a figured fabric for the back. I appliqued all the pieces with a small close zigzag stitch and free motioned in and around the outer parts of the wall hanging. The binding was again one of my 5 fabrics I used.Since I am still learning how to applique & free motion, this was a challenge for me!
