Simply beautiful - and what a big smile it gave to see your former roommate post on the thread.

How rude of those people to laugh at you. I can't believe it. This is gorgeous. So different and unique. Wonderful job.

Wow! Congratulations for not letting those rude people discourage you. And congratulations to your roommate for lending a hand. Those who laughed are probably those who are threatened by quilt police. Good for you for being your own person! Beautiful, unique quilt.

I think you did a great job. Years ago our grandmothers used whatever fabric they had available and were glad to have that. Maybe we have been "spoiled" to what we now call quilting fabric. Just my humble opinion.

I have incorporate several home dec fabrics into several of my quilts and no one even knew the difference. Some are very beautiful. I think you did a spectacular job.

Your WH is just awesome! I love it when I see work in non traditional fabrics and trims, I admire the vision and creativity. I think you should email a photo to Ms. Sloan if possible and ask her if she "remembers when."

I think it turned out to be beautiful! I love the different fabrics you used. Who cares what others think about your fabric, after all it is your quilt and you should be very proud of a fabulous job. Too bad you can't have another class with the same group of people and take your beautiful quilt in to show it off. Your quilting I beautiful on this fabric. Enjoy your beautiful art work!
