Default looking for alphabet cutouts

I want to make an "our family" quilt using mom, dad, all our children's and grandchildren's name in a scrabble look quilt top. I have been searching the internet for 3 inch alphabet letters, either pre-cuts or stencils. Pre-cuts or embroidered letters are very expensive as I need 62 letters. I can't seem to find a free alphabet cut out. I could cut the letters out and sew them on each block and then put them in the order I have on paper. Does anyone have any quick references to something free for alphabet stencils? Or does anyone have a recommendation where I could get pre-cut fabric letters I could sew on?

I picked a set up at my local grocery store when it was going out of business. I would check online with Walmart and have them ship to the nearest store to you. Most large office supply stores should carry them too.

My sis bought some packaged ones at WM....not sure of the size or price.
They were iron on but I think she sewed around them after they were fused.
If you want extra information,PM me.

I use my computer to print out letter templates. Just find a font in your word processing program that look right and adjust the size to what you need. Then print and cut.

What PatPitter said. Just pick a simple font, then enlarge it as much as you need by choosing a large font size. You can do this in a draw, paint, or word processing application. If the app doesn't let you get it big enough, print it out at the maximum size you want and enlarge it on a copier. Even here!

I got a big package of letter and number stencils(actually stick-on) goodies at one of the dollar stores. Used them on my avatar for door curtain.

I bought an alphabet applique book couple of years back at a quilt show but i can remember the name of it and I am at the office so can't check, but here are a few at Amazon only with alphabets and you can use in the future too.

I have the alphabet 3" letter Die for the Go. It has become a time saver die to have. I found it on clearance last year at 75% off a store closing. A friend made a scrabble quilt with her family names and bought the letters custom cut on Ebay or Etsy, can't remember. It was a lot easier then doing them herself.
