Default Last quilt for the year

Someone asked me to make a quilt with a Nightmare Before Christmas theme for her 22 yr old daughters Christmas. I hadn't even heard of the film. I had to have some fabric printed for it as off the shelf fabrics are rarer than hen's teeth. My phone takes poor pics though. The yellow is actually bright orange, while the orange is pumpkin colour. I really enjoyed making this quilt though Id've enjoyed it even more if my machine hadn't played up!

I don't know The Nightmare Before Christmas either, it's very nice and congrats on figuring how to get the job done!

I adapted tic tac toe from the Quilters cache for the pieced blocks and used the software to translate images from the film into embroidery pieces. I got the border fabric printed through spoonflower.

Jack is awesome. I hadn't heard if the film so bought it to get some ideas. Its a great film for Xmas. I really thought there would be lots of options out there regarding fabrics etc but google threw up only one other NBC quilt which was really completely different from this one so I guess it really is one of a kind.
