Once upon a time there used to be a quilt show in Tacoma once a year (before that it was in Seattle every other year). After looking the web at various sites I cannot see a show listing after the year 2013. If you go the apwq.org nothing comes up - does anyone know if they still have this quilt show in August? Is it now called by a different name or is located some where other than Tacoma?

If I recall correctly, I received an email many months ago that this organization is no longer an organization.

SuzyM That's a shame if they no longer have that show it was always so nice. I was raised in Sumner & graduated in 1963 from Sumner High & liked coming back home & hitting the Quilt Shops & Shows.

Maybe there will be another type of Quilt Show. Have you ever gone to the Show in Sisters, Oregon? It's wonderful but only one day.

There is a "Sewing & Stitchery Expo" in Puyallup, February 26, 2015 - March 1, 2015. Go to www.sewexpo.com and look at the Dec. 2014, Newsletter. I think this is sponsored by WSU. It looks like a mix of all types of sewing and vendors. I remember when the Fairgrounds parking lot was a sea of mud and vehicles often got stuck. It has been paved for years now. I never went when it was in Tacoma.

The show in Tacoma is, unfortunately, gone. If I understand correctly, it was too much for the group to put on. I agree with you - it was a good one!

Kitsap quilters has an annual show in Bremerton, usually third weekend in February. I went last year and it was a lovely show. Going again this year!
