I did strips 2.5 inches wide, and 2+X inches long, where X is the size of the big block. (They were supposed to be 12.5, but mine came out differently, so I adjusted for that). Create the triangle on one end only, and be careful about the direction of the long side of your triangle.

Thanks, Cat for this ^ I am ready for that last step as well but couldn't find the post that explained it. I hope to finish it tomorrow & get a picture posted.

The final instructions, which include the sashing with stars, are in post 756. All the quilts are really pretty. I haven't gotten brave enough to do a mystery yet, but I am learning so much from PaintMeJudy. Maybe next one?

I'm constantly amazed at the completely different looks from the same pattern.
Still working on mine. Have started doing the sashing but it's going a bit slowly since I'm trying to do stars on both front and back of the QAYG and sometimes forget to reverse the angle on the back so it lines up with the front.
Oh, boy! Are you a glutton for punishment!!! Can't wait to see your pics & make sure to take them of front & back.

Cathy, Thanks for creating the gallery. I love all of those quilts ladies, good work. Great inspiration for scraps. I will definitely make this quilt again.

Love the gallery...makes it easy to see them all in one place & get ideas easily. Such a variety of ideas from everyone. I'm still working on mine...

catonamac - absolutely scrumptious -- love the purple. Hey, what's not to like about purple?

Oh, how fun to see everyone's finishes! Great job, everyone. Mine still needs the sashing stars and border. I really can't sew much except the weekends and I ended up out of town last weekend. I hope to have this coming weekend to finish it up!

LOL -- my sentiments precisely! I love purple! It just didn't tie in much with the rest of the quilt. But I like it with the orange and yellow stars... actually, they look more like flowers in my quilt.
