Your quilt is absolutely lovely. I agree with others to use the crayon fabric as the backing and a solid color for your binding. Is there a pattern for this quilt. I love it.

Oh dear! I like it just like it is. In fact, I like it so much I am going to keep a picture of your quilt and your thinking and save them for the moment I get to consider my next quilt top. I may even go so far as to repeat the boarder fabrics for the binding in the same places as the boarders so my version of your quilt would be bound but not too obviously.

Your quilt pleases my eye and makes me think. Thank you.

I agree with others about not using crayon fabric for borders - to me the scale seems too small - it gets lost. Much prefer a solid border. This certainly is a fun quilt and beautifully done!

Great minds think alike... and there area several above!

Thin red border ½ - ¾ inch > double the width of the multi-crayon border you already have (ie: 2.5 doubled to 5?) > and MITER those corners only > then bind in black.

I agree with Karina, the crayon fabric would make a great backing, but if you wanted to enlarge the quilt, you could add a 5" or so black border with black binding so that the crayons take center stage. That's a great quilt.

I like the black border. Can you please tell us the name of this pattern. I like it better than any other crayon quilt pattern.
