I'm sorry but I had to laugh! When I read the title, "Charmin Stars by Moda Bakeshop....", in my half-awake stupor, thought she was somehow referring to my favorite TP and was trying to figure out the connection! I finally googled it and of course found Charming Stars.....! I'll save the tute and really like your blocks, dakotamaid, and since blue is my favorite color, would choose that one. I like your fabrics and colors used better than the one on the Moda site!

I agree, love just the red!

Since this is a donation quilt I didn't want to add a big border. But it needed something. I also wanted to keep it at 45x60ish. So this is what I finally came up with this afternoon. I plan to bind it in the red also, maybe a bit wider than usual. Thanks for all the suggestions.

PS: not sewn yet, just laid out.

It looks lovely on my screen. Although I have to say the sashings that you are calling green show up as turquoise on my screen... which isn't a problem as it's up there in my favourites.

Yes, the green is more of a turquoise.

The layout as you have it in Reply#15 just grabs my attention. Love it! You are doing a beautiful thing in bringing joy to a boy's life.

I think the red is the best for your quilt and block colors. Whichever you decide will be perfect for you.
