I'd like to swap by this weekend, if all the packages are in. They should be-- nobody left out!

Today my box was stuffed with packages from fruitmama and sew_busy... as well as more padded envelopes from the P.O. Thank you ladies, your squares look awesome! And thanks sew_busy for the extras!

A couple of fabrics were sent in by more than one person (hey-- great minds think alike!), so there will be repeats of those, unless I can swap out with some of my stash. You are going to love all these cute prints!

Just waiting on the last two, Fiestypixie and quiltingdragon, who were both mailing today. I'm sure I'll have those by Wed... also hoping that first class package is going to arrive soon. Looks like we are pretty much right on track to swap! Next week, mid-week, you should all have some new squares to play with!

Great job, swappers.

Hooray! The last packages were in my box today... I can swap! The fabrics look great. We got many that I have never seen before.
The football fabric was very popular... at least 4 of you sent it in! So you will all get plenty of footballs back! Ha ha...
So... I will get started on the swapping and have your packages back in the mail to you a.s.a.p.! Watch for goodies in the mail!

Well swappers, the squares are all swapped and the packages packed and ready to go to the post office tomorrow. Some really cute fabric is coming your way!

A few of the fabrics were sent in by more than one person, so there will be some repeats. Also, we had 12 swappers but some weren't swapping as many sets as most of us were, so that necessitated a few repeats too. I hope no one is upset if they find a few repeats. I did try hard to keep it to a minimum and even used my own stash to keep the repeats down. If we had 3 or 4 more swappers I may have been able to swap without repeats at all.

A few of your bags came up short. Several times I found 8 instead of 10 squares in a bag. If I could make up the difference myself, I did. Otherwise you may get a short bag back, but you will get the same amount you sent in.

If a square was found to be unacceptable for the swap, I simply returned it you. Most of that was because of short cuts or not fussy cutting to the point of the square being confusing to a child.

With that business out of the way... ENJOY YOUR NEW SQUARES! You ladies sent in some really cute fabrics, and some very nice quality fabrics. I hope that everyone is happy with what they receive. Please post and let me know when you get your package. I will mail tomorrow so you should have your packages by Monday or Tuesday of next week.

Here's our "stack", all ready to go out...

You are welcome! Everyone should try being the 'swapper'... we would really appreciate all the hard, hard work that Owlvamp has been doing for our benefit. I have a new level of respect and awe for her!

Is anyone interested in a jar swap to make a jar quilt? Things a child would put in a jar - candy, bugs, butterflies, coins, shells, fish etc? There are some cute quilts on here

The last link is to a video with instructions for making the quilt.

Blocks would be 5"x8" so that we could use I spy blocks we already have for smaller jars to mix in with larger jars. Also it would allow you to buy 1/4 yard for use in these blocks.

Anyone interested? Any ideas? If so I will start a link and post it here.
