Default What should I look for when buying a new cutting mat?

I need a large cutting mat (24 x 36 or larger) and not sure what kind to buy. I thought one of the large white ones would be good but after some searching on the forum it sounds like they are hard on blades. So what would you buy?

I only buy Olfa. I've tried a couple other brands and never again.

I made sure the one I just bought is both self-healing and double-sided.

Another vote for Olfa. The one white one I had just wouldn't heal and didn't hold up.

Looks like Olfa will be my next choice. My fiskars have just not held up very good.

Buy Olfa. They last the longest. Don't forget you can flip you mat over to get 2x the use. I never use the marking lines anyway

I vote for Olfa. In my opinion they are the best.
