Default Dumb, Dumb, Dumb!

I feel so stupid. I finally got back to a wall handing that I was doing an applique boat scene on and finished the appliqué tonight. With that all done I went and did the basting with the batting and backing. Not until I got all the basting done did I realize that I had not put the borders on yet. The borders had been hanging on the design wall for months. So after spending an hour basting it all, I cut it all off! But that's not all....... I cut down the backing fabric because it was too big for the appliquéd portion and now it is too small after I put the borders on. Oh my! Time to go to bed I guess. LOL Like I said, Dumb, Dumb, Dumb.

We've all had days like this. A solution will come to you tomorrow.

I agree with Tartan, we have all done this at least one time. Hope you got a good night sleep and are ready to tackle and get this cute quilt finished.

I hope you've had a good night's rest. Piecing the backing won't be a problem.

That is so easy to do. I'm sure you are not dumb. You just forgot that step. Several easy fixes so all is not lost.

I have done that so many times I can't even count, I'm sure it can be fixed.

Not dumb, just preoccupied! Just add something to the back...after all it's the BACK of a wallhanging!

Quilt the hanging and add the borders and backing as if it was meant to be a quilt as you go project. Design decision.
