Default Looking for some quilting inspiration on my 1/2 sq triangle quilt

I am in the process of quilting swirls on the white sections of this, but can't decide what to quilt in the blue/green triangle parts. I want it to be different than the white sections. I don't want to do straight line stitching or SITD. I've looked thru hundreds of photos online and nothing is really inspiring me yet. Any suggestions?

How about doing straight line meandering? That would contrast nicely with your swirls, and be easy and fast. I hope you know what I mean---it's just meandering without curves, only angles and straight lines.

I know you said you don't want to do straight lines, but they would provide a nice contrast to your swirls. Or SITD all around and inside the colored squares would look great, especially with the pattern formed on the back of the quilt. It's a really pretty quilt.

Lori Kennedy posted a cute flower filler pattern today on Tuesday Tutorials that might go well with the swirls. www.theinboxjaunt.com/

What a beautiful quilt! I think I would do echo quilting inside the triangles... 1/4" inside the seam lines.

i think the straight lines would be a good contrast. if you are dead set against it, how about pebbles?

I'd do some organic lines -- so not perfectly straight, bigger than matchsticks -- I'd experiment with more than 1/4 inch to about 1/2 inch apart. But I also think pebbles could work.

This is cute...but will have to try it on a different quilt because this one is for a baby boy. Thanks for the link.

I sketched up something that has lines and pebbles. Tomorrow I'll try out a sample and see how it looks.

If you are looking for something simple, I might do the orange peel design working within the triangle seam lines. It can be done in a continuous line manner without having to break your thread.
