Default Martha Pullen: Teacher, Entrepreneur,Seamstress, Quilter Extraordinaire

I am just so very proud and my heart is full today. My Granddaughter just graduated Summa Cum Laude from The University of Alabama with a degree in Fine Arts and Fiber/Textiles, and a minor in Creative Writing. She is absolutely enthralled with all types of fabric.
Did I mention that I am so humbled by this?

I have watched her on PBS for years. A little TOO complicated with her sewing for me. I just try to stay with things I can finish! Have fun.

I have most of her books on heirloom sewing and dolls. She is from Alabama.

My granddaughter received a fellowship and part of the money will be used to attend one of Martha's teaching retreats. I am going with her. If you want to know more, pm me. (The link was removed by the administrator, but really don't know why, because I wasn't advertising anything. Oh well)

I am a real Martha Pullen fan! I learned heirloom sewing from her and she inspired me to start smocking. I love attending her workshops. You and your granddaughter will really enjoy the retreat. Congratulations on her graduating Summa Cum Laude. I know you are so very proud of her academic achievement.

Congratulations concerning your DGD's graduation and her love of all those things you love.

Years ago I attended several Martha Pullen seminars. She is a kick in the pants, really smart and kind person. What impressed me so much was her practicality. She wore nice clothing but white tennis shoes for practicality.

Congratulations to your DGD and you ! A friend attended Martha Pullen and became a certified instructor. She was my smocking teacher and we have developed quite the friendship after smocking. You and your DGD will have lots of fun. Best of luck to her as she finds her path in life.
