Default QOV for my brother

Recently found out that a QOV can be awarded to any person who served in the military during a time of war. That includes Coast Guard. So now I can give a QOV to my brother, Tom.

My sister is working on one for another of my brothers, Dan.

We hope to be able to award both at a family gathering over Labor Day weekend.

All the fabrics in this quilt came from my stash, panel included - must have been subconciously thinking of it for the last year or two.

The backing is from a flannel sheet set I purchased on sale at Sears several year ago. It works so well with the gray/blue shades in the panel, that once I saw them together I couldn't think of any fabric that would work better.

It's a perfect quilt for a Coast Guard person. And I agree that the backing is terrific with it.
