Default What would you like to learn in a video relating to quilting / sewing?

Hi...earlier in the week I posted that I enjoy watching the Sew Very Easy (Laura Coia) videos on Youtube. I don't know her but after I emailed her that I was posting about her videos, she emailed back asking if I would find out what all of you would like to see in a video....anything you wanted to learn or any techniques relating to quilting or general sewing. She seems to know about a lot of things and would like to know what you would be interested to learn for ideas for future videos.

How to make changes in binding colors line up with changes in the quilt edge colors.

Oh, that's a good one! When I see a quilt like that in a show I'm very impressed.

Cutting Bias binding. Was not impressed with the videos I watched. I am using a plaid and not sure if I need to be worried or not.

I prefer picture illustrated to videos. I want to pull up the picture, not try to pause or watch video ad nauseum.

Mdegenhart, do you think most people would prefer picture to video?..if so, I would let Laura Coia know. I know I like both but prefer to see it in action.

    I think I would like a video with an over-all demonstration - then pictures/illustrations for a close look/review of the hard-to-see parts.

Example: How to thread a machine - a quick over-all video

Then illustrations for how to get the thread through the more complex parts.

How to make mitred corners! I've read about it, but am a visual learner.
