Default Do You Know the name of this block?

Do you know if there is a name for the basic block that is used in this quilt? I'm sure Quilter's Cache or a site like that would have a name for this block but I don't where to start looking. I know the quilt is identified as "American Pie" and is in one of Ms. Rosies older quilt books, however I think the basic block is probably a well know 30's block????

It is the 3rd and 4th pictures down in the blog post.

Looks to me like a half snowball block. Use a colored square with white sewn on 2 corners

Kansas Dugout is the one I found.
That is a very attractive quilt.

There are many names for this block Kisses comes to mind. It is just a square block with two sides snowballed (when you sew diagonally thru a square and press).
