presents for September trip
I am going to southern Wisconsin in early September to visit with my sister. Our brother and his girlfriend will be coming from Oregon then, and I wanted to make some things to give to everybody. I've already posted the microwave bowls, and here are the other things. I made a dish drying mat for my sister using scraps left over from the quilt I made for her birthday in June. I've never met my brother's girlfriend, so I wanted to give her a "welcome to the family" gift. She's not a girly girl, so I thought a shopping bag would be useful but not frilly. The mug rug and coffee sleeve are for my brother's birthday, which will occur while he's here. He likes sock monkeys, coffee, and he's a counselor, so I thought the phrase was appropriate.
