Thanks, Judith. I always get mine hand-cancelled, but I'm itching to add some embellishments. I'm still struggling with indecision on this month's idea, so getting one done that I really like is more than enough of a challenge for me, never mind embellishments! But thanks so much for all the info on the envelopes. So the 4x6 postcards will fit into the 4x6 photo sleeves? I will look into that this weekend.

ctyankee, I took one of my postcards with me to Staples the first time I bought the sleeves and tested them. And the first one I sent in a sleeve had feathers and beads on it. So, Ask them if you can try one out for size.

I sent my postcards to my partners , Cuppy and Juanita Bean . It was a fun theme. There's so much in our sewing rooms that gives an inspiration..... Mine was buttons. I have my grandmothers button jar full of old buttons. Then found button fabric.... Enough hints. So hope you enjoy your postcard girls

Ctyankee, I've never tried the sleeves... Think I will. That's a good way to send an embellished one then, right?

Okay here is a couple ideas I have been playing with and have another two in the works. Can't decide what I really want to do.
The first picture is my canning jar pin cushion. I love it. Can't find things I want to put in the jar but I think it has enough now.
Second is a little mini QUilt. Plain but I think it's cute.

Okay ladies, I have been in the sewing room this morning. And, I have finished my first postcard for this swap. I actually have several ideas I want to try out. Hope you like it.
I decided to play with selvedges and a linen dish towel. And, some bits and bobs I already had here in the sewing room. The linen dish towel was free. One of those found items my husband got off a job. I washed it and re-appropriated it to me. Share and share alike, right!?lol

I played again in the sewing room today. Again, my card came out very sewist style. I purchased this really darling sewing fabric. So, I really want to try to make it into something without cutting it away too much. The "S" could stand for Sew or it could be my partners first initial. Hmm, I will think on it and try out one more demo before I decide.
