Default Quilot show cancelled, but I won anyway

The CAL fire and US Forestry took over our fairgrounds due to 40 fires around our area. Naturally, our fair was cancelled, but the judging was held for the quilt show part of the fair (also livestock judging was held). I had entered one quilt for judging. About a week later I got my quilt back and found that I had a blue, 2nd Best of Division and Best Hand Workmanship. Whoopie!

BTW, our fires are 97% contained and we can see somewhat hazy blue sky, a major improvement. I'm told that is as good as it will get before the snow flies. There are 269 staff left fighting, about 1/8 of what we had. Thank you Fire Fighters signs are all over our small town.

Yes, the fire fighters deserve praise, may they stay safe, here in Washington and the rest of the West.
