Default First quilt in almost 10 yrs!

Finished this today, this is my first quilt since 2007, maybe...A long time! Tried to keep it simple, it's from a book called "Becoming a Confident Quilter" by Elizabeth Dackson. I'm not sure how I feel about the lack of borders on the sides, that's how the pattern is, but I'll think about it while I look for some good hand quilting thread...any recommendations?

I'm very happy to have it done, though all I can see is the flaws right now. Might have to quilt it pretty heavy! Lol. Oh well, the next one will be better. I really did almost forget how fun this is, how could I??

I started cutting Friday. And got TOTALLY consumed, just like I remember- spent a silly amount of money this past weekend replacing some tools and whatnots (and a little fabric, of course. Okay, maybe more than a little), the house is a mess and I'm really needing some sleep and I've got my next 3 projects planned...WELCOME BACK TO QUILTING!! HAHAHAHA.

I call it Saffron and Honey. Thanks for looking. ((:

Good to have you back with quilting. Your first one back is a beauty. Sounds like you have the bug again.

You didn't forget because that looks great! Show us another picture if you decide to put borders on and of course, after it's quilted.
Oh-and welcome to the QB!

Lovely return to quilting - stop looking for flaws - there aren't any! Happy hand quilting...

A good monochromatic (yellow) combo of modern / traditional with scrappy that "pops" combined with the "rusty orange". I'll use my Aussie's official name to convey my sentiment. "Mikey Likes It!"

Welcome back to quilting. It looks good to me. If you don't add a border your binding in the right color may give you the finished look you want. Post pics when it is done
