Block #1 on Christmas Rose Judy Neimeyer pattern
Here's block #1 on my Christmas Rose pattern. There are 4 big blocks and lots of border to go. I'm just thrilled to get one block done.

I have that pattern, but I think it's called Cactus Rose. Either way, your first block is absolutely gorgeous. The applique enhances the paper piecing in this design, and yours looks perfect.

Great block. I like the combination of piecing and applique.

Gorgeous fabrics. I need to start an easier pattern that I have of her's. I would be delighted too if I finally got this 1st block done.
