EmiliasNana, yes those are the alphabet blocks with stippling blocks in the white blocks until you get to the last row as only had the last 2 letters to do. Also added their date of birth 4 25 15 on the middle row. Grandma mentioned rainbow colors so used that as the theme for the quilt pattern..........raindrops and umbrellas in the corners and border. The CT kit came with 36 fat quarters from their collections which I had most of them already excluding one which I now have after making these quilts.

Ddaylesewblessed, ordered the kit from Connecting Threads when it was on sale so couldn't pass up on the deal. 1st kit ever and was highly impressed with the generous amount of fabrics that came in the kit. 36 fat quarters for the colors and 5.5 yd for the background fabric plus the binding striped fabric. The kit was for a little larger quilt but I resized it and was able to make 2 by adding a little more from my stash. Still had plenty of the fat quarter fabrics leftover so used them on yet another oversized lap quilt for another baby born this year. I redesigned the white block as I felt it wasted too much fabric using EQ7. Then of course my math figuring goofed up whe I was figuring out how many of the 2.5 coins I needed for the smaller border. Because I cut too many, some went toward the 3rd quilt plus still have a pile leftover..........that's how big I goofed up on the numbers needed. Anyway, I enjoyed this pattern and I'll not hesitate to order another kit from Connecting Threads if I find one I like.
