Default Virtual Quilting Weekend -- Nov 13 to Nov 15, 2016

Welcome to the Friday the 13th quilting weekend I hope many of you will join me in the quilting room this weekend. I have a couple tops to quilt and bind. I am not allowing myself to start a new project until the four completed tops are totally finished. And it's torture! There are several new projects just begging me to start them. If anyone has any questions, just ask on here or pm me. Can't wait to see what everyone else is working on.

I plan on joining. Working on 3 Advent Calendar Quilts as Christmas Gifts. We have Thanksmas in our family. All are in various stages of completion.

I am in - I have 6 pillowcases to make for gifts and also piecing the log cabin blocks and strip sets for a Star Spin quilt. I want to get these done before the Bonnie Hunter mystery quilt starts Nov. 27th.

I will be joining too, I'm hand quilting a baby quilt but hope to also sandwich a lap quilt and start machine quilting it. I have my label to make for my Row by Row as well.... sounds like enough projects!

I'm in, hopefully I'll remember to check in! Goal for this weekend is to finish up the blocks for an hst sampler quilt I'm making out of the moxi fabric line by moda (here's a link http://sewluxfabric.com/collections/moxi ). I used 2 charm packs and a couple of different white on white fabrics for the main blocks. I'm at work today, but brought cutting supplies in case the office is slow today. I'd like to get the sashing and cornerstones cut if I have time. I'm planning on using white on white for sashing and then the yellow fabric pictured below for corner stones and backing. What do you think? Will that accent nicely? I'd like to use the red floral for binding, but I don't think I have enough, so I'll have to find something else.

I've got one quilt on the Long-Arm that needs to be finished,

and I always have a stack of UFOs in the sewing room to keep my busy. Though right now I've been working on a Bella Bella sampler. Once I get the paper removed and those blocks sewn together, I can start on assembling the top.

Next weekend I plan on going to visit relatives and pick up fabric. I've talked my Sis into selling me her stash. She hasn't been interested in sewing for years, but had bought a lot of fabric 30 years ago when she worked at a quilt shop. And if DH is diligent this week, I'll be able to start painting the new home for the Long Arm.

I can't get started until after noon - then the fun can begin!
