QV - I love your blocks; have not seen that pattern before. Can't wait to see the finish. I didn't get any quilting done but after my company left I did dig into my scraps and cut and organized them into different size squares, strips, etc. Not quite done but will finish tomorrow and then are ready to start making scrap quilts. Will not buy any new fabric until my stash has gotten a lot smaller. Maybe some backing but I plan on piecing those too. Anyway - that's my plan - lol.

I was in! Well, sorta---I helped at a Guild annual "garage sale" all day Saturday--by the time I got home I was only headed to the recliner. Proud to say that I was very conservative on what I bought. But on Friday I did manage to get 5 out of 8 charity Christmas stockings completed and then today I finished the other 3, finished my 1 yd batik "creative mystery" project (we each gave 1/2 yd of a one yard piece of batik, the gal running it cut them into different sizes and then in the class we each drew out 7 pieced of different sizes and then had to create something!)and it's ready for the long arm, cut out 28 microwave bowl potholders, sewed a giant pillow (not stuffed yet) for SIL and got a customer quilt on the frame. Now to finish these starts!

Yea! The purple quilt is off the LA. I'll see about binding it tomorrow, it's bed time now.

Whew - that was a busy weekend! Despite the fact that I golfed 18 holes on Saturday and had friends over for dinner Sunday night - I managed to finish edge stitching all the applique on the baby quilt and Christmas sampler quilt. I had fun experimenting with some of the decorative stitches on my Bernina.

All I managed was to use invisible thread to zigzag around my applique flowers. All ready for me to embroider over next. Will leave that till tomorrow. No mojo to continue now.

I learned alot about making sure log cabin units are square - at each strip! I ended up remaking the gold set - it had turned out smaller than all the rest! I am loving the colors though

Macybaby, that is one beautiful quilt!

Oh Canada, what a neat idea to use different stitches around appliqué. Nice job!

I am so sorry I haven't been on all weekend. I did just read through the thread to see what everyone was working on. I have been in bed sick all weekend with a nasty head cold. This is my second one already this fall! So needless to say, I didn't get anything done. But I enjoyed looking and reading what everyone worked on. Looks like ALOT was accomplished over the weekend. And thank you to those who answered questions about the VQW for newcomers. I'm especially glad so many joined in when the thread said it was for 2016! See you next month.

Sorry you were under the weather this weekend Heather - hope you are feeling better soon! Are you a member of OVQG? I joined recently in hopes of attending the BH workshops, but haven't be available to attend a meeting as yet.
