Default Appliqued Christmas tree skirt completed!

Yay....this has been in progress for a year. Thanks for the helpful suggestions along the way. No pattern...the images were free internet drawings, with the exception of the gingerbread house-that was a block of the month pattern. I used Fairy Frost with silver for the backing-it has such a pretty subtle sheen to it. I attempted to "birth" the backing, but it was just too thick and did not lay flat, so I unstitched it and pin basted the backing on, SITD'd along the panel seams, and attached the faux-piping binding as usual. Finished diameter is 60". Can't capture the beading and sparkles in pictures, but I am pleased with this project-can't wait yo gift it to my youngest son and his family on Thanksgiving!

jillmc, that is awesome. The candy stripe is genius. I have had similar problems with birthing and did exactly as you did. Congratulations on the finish.

Just stunning. That bias binding with the faux piping is just the icing on the cake (or skirt!)
