By "gem" do you mean the machine or the husband?

Wow you are truly blessed! Congratulations on your new Babylock machine - I know you love it! Would love to have one and it's funny, it's been a daydream of mine too - thought of the Babylock Melody - not as sophisticated and nice as yours. Enjoy your new machine!

you're going to love your new machine! I have 2 Babylocks, a Babylock serger and a Brother travel machine and am very happy with all of them. I have the Symphony and it's an awesome machine. Like you said, great features, quiet and very reliable.

only advice I have is to test different threads. My machines don't care for Coats & Clark (breaks a lot). I mostly use Mettler or Gutterman.

Enjoy your new baby!! And, yes, he's a keeper.

Good for you.
I buy my own machines and fabrics. He buys his own log splitter, wood chipper and tractors. All works out good for us, for the last 53+ years.

He is a keeper that is for sure. Mine is really good but at 69 with 8 machines and 2 surgers I am the one who will not spend for expensive machine, and if I buy materal (like I don't have tubs of it) all he says is "more material??????????.

Hope you enjoy your new sewing machine! Of course, your DH is a keeper, too.
