Default Best Sloppy Joes I have found

2# ground beef, cook in large skillet over med. heat
until evenly browned, stirring to crumble.
add:
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 cup finely chopped celery
Stir in and cover the skillet. Cook until tender, about 5 min.
Drain any grease if necessary.

Now add and stir in:
1 can condensed tomato soup, (Do Not dilute)
1/4 cup ketchup
1 TBs white vinegar
2 TBs brown sugar
1 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp garlic powder, or more if desired

Heat to a simmer over low heat, uncovered.
Cook until thoroughly heated, stir frequently to prevent burning.

Spoon the hot beef mixture onto buns and serve.
This mixture is not soupy like many recipes are.

The recipe can be halved if this is too much, or just cool and freeze the leftovers.

That's basically my recipe except instead of soup and ketchup I use bottled chili sauce about 12 oz bottle I think.
Works with left over beef pot roast also. So good.

You can add tomato paste to thicken it up as well.

I make mine rather sloppy and let it simmer for a while. Stir in a handful of quick cook oatmeal and heat for 4 or 5 minutes. Mixture gets creamy, I think.

Oh my gosh, what great suggestions. We are having meatloaf for Christmas, we did turkey for Thanksgiving. I lost count of how many people are coming. Now I can make a few different types of meatloaf, peppers, onions and spice is not for everyone especially the little ones. This is a duh moment, why didn't I think of mixing it up?

Could the person please post the easy recipe for cookies again. I have lost it and would like to try it. It used cake mix, cool whip and egg. Thank-you
