Default Does this block have a name?

I love this block. The quilter states the pattern is from McCall's Dec 2004 called Snow Crystals. The issue doesn't appear to be available digitally, and we are traveling, so I can't order the magazine from Amazon or eBay. It looks fairly easy to sketch out, but I am wondering if it has a "common" name? Thank you so much!

that almost looks like a variation of "crown of thorns".
But I could be wrong. It's been a long day.

this barn quilt site calls it a carpenter's wheel... but has a star instead of a 'pinwheel' in the center http://quilttrailswexfordmissaukee.b...ers-wheel.html

I have seen this block before but haven't had a chance to download my Blockbase program. It consist of mostly HSTs and a couple of squares. I have friends taking me to SD to Rosie so I have to be ready in an hour. When I get back, I will dry the block for you. Do you know what size you want the quilt to be??

Here is the link to Mccalls blocks. 29 pages of them. Maybe it is in there.

Thanks, all. I can't order the pattern because we are traveling for several weeks. I have already drawn out the pattern and started cutting....it's just HST and a few squares. I was just hoping someone recognized the block so I would have a name to go with it.
Maniac-hope you had fun at Rosie's! My sister took me there when she lived in SD 15 yrs ago!

Very pretty block. I am thinking it would make a great table runner.
