Default Bernina Presser Foot - Which one to choose

I have a Bernina Activa 220 (entry level machine) and need a presser foot for attaching braid and cord and piping. The presser foot options are: Braiding Foot 21 or the Bulky Overlock 12.

HOWEVER, I have read that the Bulky Overlock 12C will work on the lower spec Berninas. And after viewing the Bernina video, seems the advantage of the 12C is it does thicker cords and piping than the 12.

Has anyone used the 12C instead of the 12 on a low spec machine?

Any other recommendations would be welcome as I will have to internet order the foot. The nearest Bernina dealer is miles away and probably won't stock this foot as standard.

    Thanks

Sorry, I have only quilted on my Bernina. I have never even sewn a zipper on it and I have had it over 15 years. Good Luck.

The "C" is for machines that that have rotary hook systems and a maximum stitch width of 9mm, which a 220 does not have. The manual does state that the "C" foot is usually larger to fit the wider feed dog of the rotary hook machines. I have a 230 PE and have "C" presser feet, they work okay, but I would think that the feet without the "C" may cost less. Don't really know for sure.

If you go on FaceBook, there is a site "Bernina Lovers" and everyone on there is very helpful. You'll get your answer there.
