I like the 2nd. More visually stimulating. Especially if this is to be hung in a place where children can enjoy it.

Oohhhh! I like them both! My initial thought was "the first one!" but then I started thinking about all the stunning ways that the second one could bring out a beautiful quilting design. I really don't think you could go wrong either way!

These are both great, which makes it hard to choose. I think I like the first one better. It seems to me to make a bigger statement of the shadow effect.
