Default Singer Sewhandy Electric 50

I don't know if this machine is considered an vintage or antique. It was produced in 1972. My daughter got it for me at a estate sale for $40. It appears to be in perfect condition with the cover and manuel. Does anyone have this little adorable machine and do you think that was a fair price for it? Later today I will set it up and take it for a spin. Thanks for any comments.

yes, that is a very good price if it has the manual, food pedal, bobbin and bobbin case. BTW - the bobbins are darn near impossible to find.

I have three of them, each a bit different. Two I got real cheap because they did not have the case or foot pedal, but they both had a bobbin and the bobbin case. So I have three bobbins!

Is this it, Singer Sewhandy 50D? I have the hand crank version, 40K. $40 is a good price. Uses 24x3 needles.

I have never seen a sewhandy electric. Its adorable. I have the sewhandy 20 handcrank, and made a queen size quilt on it for my daughter.

This little sewing machine is a cutie, don't know a thing about it. I think $40 is very reasonable for such a different machine.

Yes, it is a Singer Sewhandy 50D. I wonder where you can find the needles for it? I ran it yesterday and it works like a charm. I need to fix a hem in a bed sheet so I intend to use that little machine instead of getting my full size Jenome out. I love the stitch that it makes.
BTW, thanks for the youtube link.

You may want to read http://www.singersewinginfo.co.uk/toys/24x3/ about needles.
