Funky wall hanging

Funky wall hanging
Just finished this wall hanging from my own block design. Quilted it on my LA, but felt like the design didn't show up enough, so I took it to my regular machine and did a satin stitch to emphasize part of the pattern. Usually, I am eager to say how much the quilting adds to the quilt, but to be honest, the quilting isn't my favorite part of this one.

I also used the DSM to put a decorative finish on the borders and to sew down the binding. Oh and, the quilting in the black border was fun ... I used a variegated King Tut in greys to quilt over the swirl lines that were in the black-on-black fabric.

Thanks for looking!

Maybe the quilting didn't add much to the quilt because the quilt is so fabulous everyone is too busy looking at the pattern and the fabric to notice the quilting. Its a great wall hanging. Put it up and admire it.
