Cool paper piercing what weight paper do you use?

As a new quilter I love paper piercing, my blocks come out (almost) square and the points on the triangles have improved 100%. Also there are so many great patterns to use up the scraps. My question is what weight paper do you use/suggest and where did you find the best deal.
Thanks,
Cynthia

I just have to say I love the Quilting Board, such great information.

I do to Annette, and have to admit I recycle the paper. I keep a brown paper bag where all the paper scraps go then into the recycle bin along with any cotton thread and scraps that are too small for anything.
Thanks

Hobby Lobby may still carry the Carol Doak paper. It feeds through most printers good and it tears off much easier than the standard paper in a printer. It is brownish. I should have said more like a beige tan, or lt brown.

Over here in the UK we have paper that is called bank paper. It is much thinner than copier paper but can be printed on.... Much easier to remove after sewing.

Be aware if you buy Carol Doak paper it jams in the printer quite frequently. I have a pack of it still for this reason

I buy newsprint roll ends from the local newspaper. For 2 or 3 bucks you get a lot of paper and I have other uses for it too like pattern making and paper for the kids to draw on.

I use my copy paper or the doodle pads from the Dollar Store.
