Default Garage Sale Find

I bought a Viking Platinum 750 at a garage sale for $25 last week. It looked like it was in great shape, had all the feet, manual and so on. I took it to my local dealer for a cleaning and so on since the family said their mother had been gone for four years and the machine had set in a closet all that time. The dealer just called that the machine was ready and offered me $100 for it. He said it was in fabulous shape and sewed beautifully. I'm keeping her and getting rid of my Janome 8900. So excited!

Great deal. I have the Viking Platinum 950 - just a tad newer than yours - that I've had for about 10+ years I think. Never have had a days worth of trouble and will sew through just about anything (it did balk at the boat cover/binding). Enjoy your new toy.

Keep that Viking Platinum 750..... That's what I have and paid retail when it was new. I wouldn't sell it for a million bucks. It is the first electronic sewing machine I've owned. I also have a Singer featherweight and Viking Mega Quilter. Last week I told my opthamologist that the sewing machine is my power tool. He hadn't heard that one before and knew that I wanted to get back to sewing after my surgery. Enjoy this new addition to your studio!!!
