Default DIY glow in the dark Fabric?

I am making a Halloween wall hanging with a black cat appliqué in nine blocks. I was thinking how cool it would be if I had glow-in -the-dark bright green fabric for the eyes. I have not seen any of this type of fabric in green available that could be shipped quickly so thought of one other option: use glow in the dark fabric paint and paint the green fabric before using it for the eyes or perhaps there is another way. I only need a 1/4 of a fat quarter for the 9 pairs of eyes ( if that so ) so don't really need to order a yard as most vendors require. Any ideas? Thanks

Glow in the dark paint or thread would both work. I suspect they'd be more effective over time than the fabric would be, since the GITD might wash out of the fabric.
