Default Fall wallhanging finished just in time

When quilt meets craft. I wanted a quick wall hanging for my mom. She is still using her Valentine wallhanging in her living room! It was a last minute decision and I am a slow quilter, creator, crafter so I made it as easy as I could to have it complete before Christmas. Pre quilted background fabric to start, appliqués pumpkin and letters, which I did cut out myself from templates, and synthetic fabric leaves purchased in a package of about 30 from the Dollar store. Working with metallic thread for the first time took the most time and I still need to work on the correct setting for my machine. I was glad when that portion was over. I am very pleased and I can't wait to see my mom's smile when I give it to her.

I still have a Christmas wreath over a mirror. Just in time for next year. Maybe that is your mom's theory, too. All joking aside, the fall hanging is just beautiful and she will get that heart thing down pretty quick! Wonderfully creative.
