Default Circling Geese is finally done!!!

I got lots of practice with my seam ripper on this one. I made 300 flying geese blocks and 16 paper pieced units for the corners. The name of the pattern is Circling Geese by Presto Avenue Designs. I bought a kit at a quilt show mainly for the 11 half yard cuts of 11 different colors and the black fabric that came with it. The kit was on sale and I kind of liked the pattern that came with it. It was in a huge zip lock bag and I put it in my stash. Fast forward a few years.....I saw this pattern on line and had to have it. I ordered it and looked in my stash for FQ"s to get started making it when the huge zip lock bag fell on the floor in front of me and said "Make it with me!" so I did. I love how it turned out. I kept the colors in the same order all the way around the quilt. It was a challenge to put together. You start in the middle and work around and around. I had to count the geese and keep them going in the right direction and in the right color order. It took some time to make it but I love the end results.

Wow! That's beautiful! Good job! It is so fun to look at....was it kind of fun to make or was it tedious? Either way, it looks GREAT!

I had fun making it, NoraB. I just had to pay attention to what I had to do next to keep the pattern right.

WOW! Your quilt is beautiful and love the colors of the flying geese. Looks like a very tedious job but turned out lovely.
