Default Question on cutting with a Go cutter

If you have a 1/2 square triangle die can you put your cut triangles back on the die & recut them into quarter squares without having a separate die?

You probably can, but you would not have s seam allowance on one side and would change the overall size of your block.
also it might not fit if atached to another shape. However I am guessing without seeing the block.

I would say no. Two quarter square triangles do not equal a half square triangle because of the seam allowance.

You can, but the finished size would be different. Why not get a couple fabric scraps & do an experiment?

I think you could, if you are okay with a different size. But personally, I'd be concerned you'd be "off". If the fabric shifts your triangles will be different sizes.

I can't remember if they have a die for the size you're talking about.....but I do know they are $10 off this week

If you get the exact measurements of the triangle, you might be able to cut using angles on a strip die.

Accuquilt does have 2 QST dies.

I recut shapes when I'm doing scrappy I sew scraps together on paper and then cut the shapes using the die. The paper keeps the bias edges from stretching.
