Default Elna Designers Touch 6200

I have a dear friend who found an Elna 6200 at Goodwill for $2.99... She couldn't resist. Well , it sew great, but she is having trouble getting the bobbins to wind. Does anyone have this machine, or any suggestions I could pass along to her.

I did download the manual for her. Hopefully she can get some help from that.

Thanks in advance.

Happy New Year

I looked it up on the internet and it appears to be a modern, computerized machine. Not sure anyone here will have experience with it.

Wow, what a deal! I have two Elnas, I use the 6003 for travels (my 730 stays home!). Sometimes the bobbin doesn't wind as tight as I'd like, so I might put a finger on the spool from which the thread is coming, kind of slow it down a tad. That tightens it. Another option is prewound bobbins. They work fine in both my Elnas. BTW, LOVE them! They are work horses, and very easy to use. Just take them in for a cleaning once in awhile.

Since the newer Elnas are made by Janome -- you probably want the Class 15 or A bobbin.

Hi, I have this machine and it is in use at the moment. Have you sorted the bobbin winding yet? If not I will reply with what help I can. Tomorrow now though as I am in UK and off for my beauty sleep :-)

Consider using a simplicity bobbin winder called a "side winder"
