Default Tessellated Stars

Quilt Stats
Pattern Name: Tessellated stars, saw it in a book "Designing Tessellations" by Jinny Beyer
Dimensions: 47" square
Fabric source/name: Connecting Threads charm packs.
Pieced and quilting by machine

Always wanted to try a tessellated quilt. I'm glad I started small and used a simple block. It was a challenge keeping track of all the colors. The photos really don't show, but I pebbled the border between the bubbles and the blocks. Something I wanted to practice. It took forever! I also took my wool batting scraps and fused them together. Looked kind of thin, so I added another fused piece with the joins going in the other direction. Looks like a big poly batt from the 70s.

That's so very very pretty!! I have been eyeing that pattern for some time and thinking that one must be very careful and watch your colors and placement, you did a fantastic job!!
