Last I heard, the police found the trailer but most of the quilts were gone. Here is a link to one of the later updates I found: http://www.quiltersnewsletter.com/bl...week-and-more/

I recently talked to someone that has regular contact with him and the trailer was found with a few quilts, many broker tools (rulers especially) and most quilts not found--including several irreplaceable customer quilts. so very sad. Then I saw on a FB post that Claudia Pfeil had a show quilt stolen from her hotel room while at a show on the West Coast.
Guess the "bad guys" have figured out the beauty and value of these quilts.

It is sad there are people like that out there! What satisfaction can you possibly have looking at a quilt you stole? How do you gift it to someone? Do you think so little of them that you would give them stolen property? I'll never understand it I guess!!

I personally think the thieves just saw this trailer thing, no business name, and thought maybe resellable tools, bikes,.......and just snatched and ran. Then when they parked and opened and saw the contents...just destroyed and grabbed what they thought they could pawn off to acquaintances and abandoned the rest. Sort of a botched heist......and unfortunately those pieces still missing will probably never be found.....either destroyed or dumped just about anywhere........and the intense work and talent will never be appreciated.
