Default Chicago quilt pattern

Has anyone made a quilt by Rose Marie Page called "Chicago"? I am interested in making this quilt, but after studying the pattern and looking at the diagrams it does not seem to add up. Just wanted to know if anyone has made this before.

Wish I could help you, but I'm not familiar with this pattern. Sure hope someone else chimes in!

Is this the one: http://www.arizonaquiltershalloffame.../Rose-Page.pdf

I have not seen this one before, but it looks like a fence rail with alternating black or white squares depending on the row. The rows are sewn diagonally with triangle setting. It should not be too hard to do. I would start with the strip in the middle and work my way to either side. Definitely lay the strips out so that you sew them in the correct order, or print a pic of it and mark off the strip as you make and attach it, as it can get confusing. I have done a diagonal strip quilt before. I learned. You just have to keep your head and make sure you have it right before you sew. That way you save on ripping.

It is a pretty quilt. Have fun and enjoy!

I think it is a warm wishes layout. Set on point. I love the colors in it.

Reminds me of Bonnie Hunter's Allitare. (sp?)

what is it that you think "doesn't add up" about the pattern?

I have to agree with bj. Warm Wishes set on point. Looks pretty simple to me.

It looks similar to Warm Wishes but pieced on the diagonal. One row has white blocks and rail fence alternating and the next row has pattern fabric blocks with rail fence blocks alternating. Also the rail fence blocks are alternated back and forth within a row. setting triangles on the ends and corner blocks in ..well..the corners!

I googled Rose Marie Page. She was a quilter from Tucson and passed away in 2015.
