Default Towels for my MIL

I am going to make wash clothes for my MIL out of minky and fleece, and was thinking about making a towel for her as well....her skin is very fragile so I thought the fabrics would be gentle, but, what are your thoughts on a minky towel? Would it be absorbent enough? Would you suggest another fabric that is gentle and absorbent?

Thank you for any thoughts and ideas

Have you considered bamboo terrycloth. A very popular choice for babies.

I don't think Mindy will absorb very well. Isn't it a poly type fabric?

That was my thought as well. How about several layers of flannel? Maybe put them together like a rag quilt?

flannel will absorb better. have you noticed that minkee doesn't stay wet for long? also, with the cotton terry towels, don't use fabric softener. it keeps the cotton from being super absorbent.

Both minky and fleece are synthetic fibers. I don't think they will absorb water well. Flannel might work. But, honestly, I'd try the bamboo that Krisb mentioned first.

Here are two links to bamboo wash cloths:

And here is a link to bamboo towels:
