Default Apple core is finished

Many asked to see the finished quilt and here it is! It is the first time I'd done bias binding on the tight curve. Let's just say it was a bit challenging. And the first time using the continuous bias binding... had to follow those steps very closely. And, yet, I still messed up a little LOL. I often do SITD when there are smaller shapes. This time, I thought I'd try shadowing each side of the shape's seam. I started with just the one line on one side all over and the quilting didn't have any zing. As soon as I added the second quilting line... wow... made the whole thing pop! I was very pleased. I forgot to take a pic of the back... I took the 4 left over colors and sewed in 4 quadrants.

Great choice of colors and the quilting design really brings out a pleasing pattern. Well chosen and well done. Enjoy the new addition to your finished projects.

Love how it turned out. Your quilting really shows off the shape of the apple core.

Very nice. I often do this type of quilting with a double needle. Makes a wiggly line on the back side, but so much faster than doing the seams twice.
