Bernina rulers
I have always had trouble getting a nice circle with FMQ but my new Bernina circle and ruler foot it is working out well. I did a circle in the center of my block and then FMQ the bump feathers around it. It isn't perfect but I am getting the hang of it. I also used my #72 ruler foot to do the bump feathers rather then changing to my Bernina Stitch regulator foot. I liked it since it is stationary and I did not have to adjust my tension at all from regular sewing. I think it is because the foot rides just above the fabric surface that the tension stays good. I will be using it more for FMQ in the future.
Wow, that looks great! I haven't looked into the rulers for my Bernina. Which one do you have?[/I went on the waiting list for last Chrustmas. It was about $350 for the foot and a set of 6 rulers if I bought early. I think the whole set is regular over $400. If you can find the thick rulers online or similar the foot #72 is only about $150? The foot has to come from your Bernina dealer as any other foot voids your warranty.

Thanks, Tartan. I may put that on my Christmas list. My husband is always asking me what I want.
