Does anyone know of a FW painter?
Hi, all. It's been quite a while since I came to visit but I have a friend that is looking for someone that does the painting of featherweights. I'm sure you all have seen the pictures of red and purple and other colors painted on the FWs. I personally would never do that but I told my friend I'd ask here.
She did have a person in mind that took the machines apart and cleaned them up and then did the painting. But, he is no longer doing it. So, if anyone knows who to contact about doing this, would you please let me know?
Thanks.

I've know people who take their Featherweights to an auto body painter. You'd want to take all of the parts off that you didn't want painted. And thoroughly mask off any internal parts you didn't want paint to get on. We had a lady bring her painted Featherweight to the shop, and some paint had gotten in the wrong spot, and we had to remove it.

Bkay, it's a bit of an investment at that price. It's something you do with the machine you like and will use. Considering the price of a new Featherweight or any new machine I guess it's worth it, but to be worth anything it has to be done meticulously.

And, I know it's expensive to do this as well. I'm glad it's not me looking to pay what it costs. But you know how it is when you want something, you just want it.

If you are on Facebook, search for Hodie Doe...He does an AMAZING JOB and I believe his wait list is running just over a year now...................but his results are worth the wait if you want it done and done right.
