Robo Call Lawsuit

Robo Call Lawsuit
For those of you that detest getting marketing calls this might help a little. There has been a class action lawsuit filed against one of the cruise line companies. If you have received any calls, go to the website and see if your phone number is among the ones called. You can get up to $900 if your number is verified. You can have up to three numbers and if your number is verified you can get up to a maximum of $300 per phone number. (That's where the $900 comes in.) You have to file by November 3rd, 2017. Even if you don't think you've gotten a call from these companies it's worth checking your phone number to be sure.

I don't want to burst everyone's bubble, but don't assume you are going to get the full $300. I went to the actual website and read the fine print. The class action has been awarded $12,500,000. $300 is the maximum amount you can receive. The $12,500,000 will be divided by the number of legitimate claims. 12,500,000/300 is 41,667. So if more than 41,667 people file a claim, the award amount will be reduced.
