    Default Carpenter's Star Baby Quilt

I made this baby quilt using stitchinbee's directions here.

I'm very pleased with it. It went together quickly, about eleven to twelve hours total. I used the Magic Eight method for making eight HSTs at a time. Seeing that the directions called for sixteen HSTs of each color combination, I made two Magic Eights of each. I'm sure that helped save time. I used yardage instead of charm squares and trimmed the HSTs to five inches unfinished.

I have a friend who's having twin grandkids next year and I think I'll make this again. I may use just one color for the inner star and a different one for the outer star, switching colors for the second quilt.

Never thought of doing this for a baby quilt. Love it.

You did a wonderful job and I, too, like the pattern for a baby quilt. It would be fun to see what your next one looks like with one color inside and one color for the outside...please post photos when you do the next one.
